Common Ground Gardens

We are working to establish community gardens throughout Durham Region with the purpose of growing local organic produce that will supplement our Common Goods Food Program and to establish a  Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program.

Farimeadow Backyard Farm is the first of these gardens. With the gracious donation of a large backyard in Whitby, we have been able to start construction of our first farm. Phase one is completed and we working toward phase two: construction of a fully functional greenhouse. 

These projects are fully funded through the sales of our Common Goods Food Program. All the produce grown and proceeds raised in our gardens will be used to supplement our Food Programs in the effort to reach more families and make local organic food more accessible.
